Infertility & Restorative Reproductive Medicine

Infertility care that looks for answers

If you've been told your infertility is "unexplained," or that IVF is your only option, there may be more to learn. Our women's health team in Franklin, TN, uses restorative reproductive medicine to find and treat the root causes of infertility, with care for the whole person.

What if your infertility isn't actually unexplained?

Restorative reproductive medicine starts from the belief that infertility always has an underlying cause, even if it hasn't been found yet. Through detailed lab work, cycle tracking, and an individualized assessment, we can often uncover conditions that a standard fertility workup misses.

Every one of Fiat's women's health practitioners has completed training in Neofertility, a restorative approach to fertility care.

How we approach infertility

  1. Assess & prepare

A full health history, cycle charting, cycle-timed hormone labs, and follicular ultrasounds to understand what your body is doing.

  2. Treat the root cause

Targeted treatment for what we find, adjusted in real time as we monitor each cycle.

  3. Support conception & pregnancy

Conception support and careful pregnancy management after a positive test.

Common causes we look for

Endometriosis

Often undiagnosed for years. Painful periods and unexplained infertility should never be dismissed.

PCOS

Hormonal and metabolic patterns that affect ovulation, blood sugar, and cycle regularity.

Thyroid dysfunction

Subtle thyroid problems that standard lab ranges can miss.

Ovulation & luteal phase problems

Found through cycle charting and hormones tested at the right point in your cycle.

Inflammation & nutrient deficiencies

Addressed through nutrition and targeted treatment to support your whole health.

Recurrent miscarriage

Compassionate evaluation and close support in your next pregnancy.

Endometriosis and fertility

Laparoscopy remains the gold standard for diagnosing endometriosis. When the goal is to preserve or restore natural fertility, the choice of surgeon matters, and we can help you think through your options. Nutrition, pelvic floor therapy, and mental health support also play important roles before and after surgery.

Hope beyond the outcome. Even when pregnancy doesn't happen, restorative reproductive medicine helps you understand your body and improve your overall health. We walk with you through every part of this journey, including loss.

Infertility questions

What is restorative reproductive medicine?

Restorative reproductive medicine (RRM) looks for and treats the underlying causes of infertility and cycle problems, such as endometriosis, PCOS, and thyroid dysfunction, with the goal of restoring healthy reproductive function. Our RRM care is based on NaProTechnology and cycle charting.

How is this different from IVF?

Rather than bypassing the problem, restorative reproductive medicine works to diagnose and heal it, so couples can conceive naturally where possible. We use a stepwise approach of assessment, targeted treatment, and conception support, monitoring each cycle along the way.

I was told my infertility is unexplained. Can you help?

We believe infertility always has a cause, even if it hasn't been found yet. Detailed lab work, cycle tracking, and follicular ultrasounds often uncover conditions that were missed.

Do you support women after miscarriage?

Yes. We offer compassionate evaluation after loss and careful pregnancy management once you conceive again.

Is infertility care covered by insurance?

No. Our women's health and restorative reproductive medicine services are cash-based and are not covered by insurance. The RRM membership is $250 per month.

Do you see patients in Knoxville?

Yes. Emily O'Connor, PA-C, provides women's health and restorative reproductive medicine care for Knoxville patients. She is currently seeing patients via telemedicine, and our Knoxville office is coming soon. Call (865) 910-9022.
