How direct primary care can save you money
A Fiat membership paired with a high-deductible health plan often costs less over a year than a traditional insurance plan, while giving you more time with your provider.
Cost comparison: one adult
| Traditional plan | HDHP + Fiat membership | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly premium | $550 × 12 = $6,600 | $350 × 12 = $4,200 |
| 6 primary care visits | $40 copay × 6 = $240 | Included in membership |
| Fiat membership | None | $99 × 12 = $1,188 |
| Enrollment fee | None | $199 (first year only) |
| Total for the year | $6,840 | $5,587 |

Questions about cost
Do I still need health insurance?
Yes. Your membership covers primary care, and a health plan protects you from large costs like emergencies, surgery, and hospital stays. Many members choose a high-deductible plan.
Will I save money if I'm healthy and rarely see a doctor?
Often, yes, because most of the savings come from lower monthly premiums on a high-deductible plan. Use the estimator above with your own numbers to see.
Can I use my HSA to pay for a membership?
Yes. Starting in 2026, HSA funds can pay direct primary care fees of up to $150 a month for an individual or $300 for a family, and our memberships are priced within those limits.
What does the membership cost?
$99 a month for an individual and $200 a month for a family of two adults and two kids, plus $25 per additional child up to $300 a month. There is a one-time $199 enrollment fee.
